After graduating from the University of Arkansas with a journalism degree, Julie spent 20 years working for newspapers and managing publications. As a technical writer in Northwest Arkansas, she entered White River School of Massage in 1992 and began the fulfilling of a long-time dream. She had a private practice in Fayetteville for two years. In 1994, she became publications director for Heartwood Institute, a residential massage school in Northern California, and took 400 hours of advanced body/mind work classes during that year. Julie combines techniques from Swedish, Cranio Sacral, Neuro-Somatic Integration, Jin Shin Do Accupressure and Breath and Relaxation. She uses the healing power of organic essential oils and is studying to be a Doctor of Naturopathy.
